ABOUT THE QUEST ALLIANCE
WHAT IS THE QUEST ALLIANCE?
Formed in 2004, the Quality, Education and Skills (QUEST) Alliance is a partnership of public, private and non-governmental organizations working together to create, pilot and institutionalize technology tools for improving the quality of education in India at the primary and secondary levels, both in school and in non-formal settings.
Initially created by USAID/India, the QUEST Alliance is now part of the Education and Employment Alliance (EEA), a three-year, US$10 million grant initiative of USAID to foster active alliances that will link and leverage the interests and resources of the public, private and civil society sectors in an effort to promote and scale-up proven and sustainable programs serving children and youth. The International Youth Foundation (IYF) serves as the Global Secretariat of the Alliance, and in India, as the National Secretariat for the QUEST Alliance. Top CLOSING THE EDUCATIONAL GAP

- Better links are needed to connect India’s basic education system to the actual needs and opportunities of its emerging economy.
Top THE QUEST VISION:
The QUEST Alliance evolved out of a growing convergence of interests among private and public organizations to effectively address the problems of quality and relevance in the Indian education system. The aim of QUEST’s founding members, the Azim Premji Foundation, Dr. Reddy’s Foundation, CAP Foundation, the International Youth Foundation, Microsoft, Pratham Trust, USAID and WIPRO Technologies is to expand the
